This piece was the catalyst for the new body of work I have been exploring. It examines human behaviour through the lens of nature. The work was born from a year of transition, shaped by shifts in both environment and context. It began in a friend’s studio back home, was painted on in France, folded up and transported through London and Copenhagen, and ultimately finished in Toronto. The piece embodies a transient nature, holding an ever-shifting narrative shaped by movement, memory, and place.

I created this flower, something seemingly real, as a reflection of those experiences and emotions. But this flower does not exist. It is an escape into something unknown, a form suspended between fiction and familiarity. It changes and morphs based on what its viewer wishes to see.
