Inspired by a conversation with a friend, this piece began with a simple question: Did we domesticate wheat, or did wheat domesticate us? Reflecting on wheat's role in our food systems led me back to memories of driving through rural landscapes, watching vast fields sway endlessly in the wind. There is something profound in the way wheat moves collectively, yielding without resisting. This work became an exploration of that relationship and a meditation on how we, too, might learn to move together with greater harmony and adaptability.
